Elevating Awareness, Driving Involvement For Those With Disabilities To Succeed In Life

For many years, Smith Public Relations (SPR) has provided communications strategy and public relations support for a nonprofit each year. In the past, SPR has worked with Make-A-Wish Los Angeles and Food Forward, a rescuer of fresh produce from backyards to major residential and commercial groves providing them to Food Banks and other in-need organizations. We work closely with the CEO and the Board on strategic planning, maximizing donor involvement, diversification of volunteer commitments and forward-planning objectives.
Just recently, we have teamed up with ROSIES®Foundation which is dedicated to helping those with disabilities or as Founder Lee Chernotsky says, “those with diverse abilities need a team to support their life goals.
More than 80 percent of those with challenges are unemployed. All ROSIES employees receive a paycheck for work they perform as a valued team member.
Having just launched the first Food Truck (a former ADA school bus) geared to employ and serve those with disabilities, ROSIES has already received coverage from KABC-TV (twice); KNBC; KCBS; KCAL and CBS/KNX radio with more coverage planned in the near future. The response from social media has been significant and we continue to work with the CEO and the Board on initiatives to broaden their ability to serve more individuals with disabilities
